On August 2024, the Party Committee and Outdoor Club of OneConnect organized a volunteer environmental clean-up at Yangtai Mountain in Shenzhen to support ecological civilization efforts. Employees participated in a nature conservation activity by collecting litter and protecting the environment. This demonstrated OneConnect's commitment to fulfilling social responsibilities and dedication to environmental protection and harmonious societal development.

In August 2024, OneConnect's Volunteer Association actively participated in the "Idle Items of Love" initiative under the Ping An Guardian Action. Donation drives were organized in the Shanghai and Shenzhen offices, encouraging employees to donate unused items such as storybooks and toys to help children in impoverished rural areas. This event showcased both employee support for public welfare and the company's ESG commitment to sustainability by promoting resource conservation. All donations were sent to rural areas on August 23, spreading care and warmth.

In May 2024, OneConnect participated in the "One Egg Walkathon," a 50 km charity event organizedon for the eighth consecutive ye by the Shanghai United Foundatiar. Nearly 100 employees from Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Beijing, and Singapore enthusiastically joined, demonstrating a simultaneous effort across five cities. This event reflects OneConnect's commitment to its ESG philosophy of "Fintech with a Heart" and its dedication to social responsibility. Additionally, the company donated 30,000 RMB to support public welfare and contribute to charitable causes.

In March 2024, OneConnect actively responded to the "Earth Hour" initiative launched by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). They organized a special campaign titled "Act Together to Protect the Earth", encouraging employees to turn off unnecessary lights and electronic devices on March 23 from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM to support environmental protection. OneConnect received a certificate of appreciation from WWF-Hong Kong for their support of the Earth Hour initiative.

The "Growing Together with Love and Technology" 2023 OneConnect Charity Walkathon wrapped up successfully on May 13, 2023! This event saw an enthusiastic response from employees across different branches. Led by Shen Chongfeng, the Chairman and CEO of OneConnect, about 100 participants from Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing, and Chengdu actively joined the walkathon. Participants committed to a challenging 12-hour, 50-kilometer endurance walk, aiming to raise funds. The event raised a total of 30,000 yuan, which will be allocated to children's welfare projects, supporting the healthy and equitable growth of children aged 0 to 18.

In 2022, as Shenzhen and Shanghai grappled with ongoing fluctuations in COVID-19 cases, OneConnect, a company with dual headquarters in these cities, swiftly mobilized a coordinated response led by its Party Committee. The company rallied its employees to actively engage in pandemic relief efforts, offering voluntary services like health code verification and guidance in the workplace. They also took on volunteer roles in their local communities, assisting with nucleic acid testing, logistics management, and supporting vulnerable groups. Additionally, OneConnect made a significant donation of 100,000 yuan to the Xuhui District government in Shanghai, earmarked for a special project dedicated to COVID-19 relief, aiding the district in its pandemic control and prevention initiatives.

At the end of 2021, we held a unique exhibition of paintings. The works in the exhibition were not exquisite, the authors were not well-known, and the picture content was very bizarre. Even so, the exhibition "Technology in My Eyes" of the "Love and Technology, Grow Together" OneConnect public welfare program created great value. In 2022, this public welfare program will continue to complete the core task of education revitalization, focus on the two main directions of poverty alleviation through education and fintech talent cultivation, keep up with the theme of public welfare in digital age to explore the innovative path of fintech public welfare.

The 2021 Shanghai Science and Technology Information Service Publicity Week is co-hosted by Shanghai Library (Shanghai Institute of Science and Technology Information), Shanghai Industry Information Development Alliance, Shanghai Society for Scientific and Technical Information and Shanghai Emerging Industry Information Research Alliance. With the theme of "Applications and Development of Blockchain Technology", the exhibition displays the cutting-edge technologies in seven major fields, including finance, transportation, medical care, justice, agriculture, manufacturing and energy internet. In this publicity week, OneConnect cooperated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University to exhibit two model cases of the application of blockchain in the financial industry.

On June 16, the public welfare program of "Love and Technology, Grow Together" entered Ping An Hope Primary School in Duiziqian Town, Suichuan County, Ji'an, Jiangxi Province, which brought a special AI experience to the teachers and students there. The donated teaching materials also conveyed love and care in a scientific and technological way.

As a saying goes that a young generation with wisdom and strength brings about the bright future of a country. In order to enable rural children to receive better education and physical and mental growth, OneConnect recently held a meeting before start for the public welfare program of "Love and Technology, Grow Together". OneConnect devoted itself to injecting scientific and technological genes into schools in rural areas, so as to empower young children’s growth.

The winner list of COVID-19 data visualization public welfare activity initiated by the China Computer Federation (CCF) CAD/CG Committee was announced. The work "TeleVisi-COVID-19 Public Opinion Visualization Project Based on NLP" by OneConnect Big Data Research Institute stood out among more than 100 entries and won the gold medal. At the same time, as a representative of outstanding participants, OneConnect was invited to attend the 23rd Computer Aided Design and Graphics (CAD&CG2020) Academic Conference and delivered a speech.

This is the 12th stop of the public welfare activity of "Growth with AI". OneConnect entered the campus with donated materials worth 100,000 yuan and "Gama Growth Partners" which is a terminal machine tailored by Gamma Lab of OneConnect AI Research Institute for the left-behind children in China. "Gama Growth Partners" aims at building a communication bridge between these children and their parents, providing a high-quality online education environment, improving the imbalance of education, and integrating educational resources and AI technology.

To help solve the problem of left-behind children in China, OneConnect came up with the idea of "AI accompanying left-behind children’s growth". In October 2018, A public welfare program called "Gama AI Growth Companion for Left-behind Children" was launched. OneConnect plans to join hands with financial institutions to donate 100 "Gama Growth Partners" to 100 rural schools with more left-behind children in China. The purpose is to connect left-behind children and their parents with scientific and technological tools, changing the absence of parents in their growth, and to make up for the lack of educational resources in remote areas, establishing a better growth and education environment for those children.

The volunteer team of "Huijin Warm Winter Public Welfare Action" went to Ping An Hope Primary School in Huodi Village, Xindian Town, Qiaojia County, Zhaotong, Yunnan Province, bringing a warm memory to nearly 200 children in mountainous areas. This public welfare activity was mainly sponsored by Ping An Property & Casualty Insurance Company of China, Ltd. Shenzhen Branch. The company gave full support in communication with the school in specific implementation matters, demonstrating importance to public welfare and cooperation Ping An company attached. At the same time, the children achieved 400 brand towels donated by Minguang Home Textile Co., Ltd., a collaborative material supplier.
